| The ideal concrete mix should be delivered between 50º and 80º. Pearce uses heated water in the winter to keep mix temperature within this range. ASTM standards require a minimum of 3" of concrete surrounding the thermometer to properly measure temperature. This test must be completed within five minutes after obtaining the composite sample. |
